Congratulations to the iCPS Lab student teams for receiving two Honorable Mention awards at the 2026 Ministry of Education Interdisciplinary SoC Innovative Project Contest, with winning works in the Smart Healthcare and Smart Terminal Device categories.
The Smart Healthcare award-winning work, "A Neural Knee Reflex Quantification System Integrating Multimodal Wearable Sensing and Edge AI Visual Computing," was completed through collaboration between National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology and National Chung Cheng University, advised by Prof. Wan-Jung Chang and Prof. Ying-Nien Chou. The work integrates wearable sensing, edge AI, and visual computing for quantitative neural knee reflex analysis.
The Smart Terminal Device award-winning work, "AOI+ Automated Recognition System for Missing and Defective Soldering of Capacitors Around a Motherboard CPU," was completed by a National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology student team advised by Prof. Wan-Jung Chang. The work applies AI-based automated optical inspection to smart manufacturing scenarios and supports more efficient defect recognition.
